Terms & Conditions


All orders placed by customers with Sara's Food and all sales of goods by Sara's Food are subject to the Terms and Conditions below.

Sara's Food reserves the right to alter any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any alterations will apply to orders received after that time.


Orders submitted shall not be deemed accepted by Sara's Food until confirmed by the Sara's Food Order Confirmation notification (e-mail).


Sara's Food reserves the right to alter the price of goods at any time before delivery to reflect any increase in cost to Sara's Food, any change in delivery details or quantities, or any delay caused by the customer.

Payment can be made by any method specified on the Sage Pay Checkout page of our website. Sara's Food will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but Sara's Food cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.

Payment of the total order price, together with the delivery charge, will be debited from the customer's account after the Sara's Food Order Confirmation notification has been sent to the customer, but prior to the goods being delivered.

If the customer's card issuer fails to make any payment of the price or any delivery charge on behalf of the customer, Sara's Food shall be entitled to cancel the order or suspend any further deliveries.

Sara's Food make very effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays or increased timescales may occur during the busy season.

Sara's Food can estimate a date for delivery of goods, but customers shall understand that it is an estimate. Sara's Food shall not be liable for any loss caused to the customer as a result of failure to deliver by the estimated delivery date or such other date or time as may be subsequently agreed.

Customers must inform Sara's Food if there are any specific instructions with regards to delivery, for example if the delivery address may be difficult for the driver to find. Sara's Food shall not be liable for any loss caused to the customer as a result of failure to provide such instructions.

Customers have the opportunity to inform Sara's Food if they would like the goods to be left with a neighbour or in a garden shed, etc. If customers request for goods to be left unsigned for, it is vital that they leave a signed note/message on the outside of the property which the driver can take for our records.

Missing or Damaged Items

All parcels must be checked by customers prior to signing the delivery note (unless customers have given special instructions that goods can be left in a secure location unsigned for). If there is any damage to the goods or if items are missing, this must be stated on the delivery note where possible and must reported to Sara's Food within 3 days of the date of delivery. If notification is not made within 3-days of the date of delivery, Sara's Food will not be able to make a claim with the courier/delivery company.

Sara's Food shall not be liable for any defect of the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence, use otherwise than as recommended by Sara's Food.

Any decision by customers that they wish to return the goods for any reason must be notified to Sara's Food within 14 days of delivery. If you do not notify us of your claim within 14 days, you shall not be entitled to reject the goods.

Sara's Food shall make a full refund of the total price of the sale to the customer so long as the goods are returned in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of the delivery date. All goods shall be returned at the customer's expense.

Data Protection

Sara's Food abides by the current requirements of the Data Protection Act.

When customers place an order or register on our website, certain information is required, including name, e-mail address, telephone number, billing address, delivery address, and credit/debit card details. Sara's Food works in partnership with Sage Pay to provide high levels of security to ensure confidential and sensitive information is not compromised.

Sara's Food may use the information that you provide for customer, market and product assessment and analysis, for the prevention and detection of fraud, and for any prize draws or competitions customers enter.

Sara's Food may disclose your information to anyone to whom Sara's Food transfers or may transfer our rights and duties under our agreement with the customer, and/or if Sara's Food has a duty to do so or if the Law allows us to do so.

Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to the customer at the time of delivery or if the customer wrongfully fails to take delivery of the goods.

The ownership of the goods shall not pass to the customer until Sara's Food has received in full the total order price and delivery charge.

Until such time as the goods passes to the customer, Sara's Food shall be entitled at any time to require the customer to deliver up the goods to Sara's Food.

The customer shall not be entitled to pledge or in any way charge by way of security for any indebtedness any of the goods which remain the property of Sara's Food. If the customer does so, all monies owing by the customer to Sara's Food shall become due and payable.

Customer’s Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer, as defined in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel your contract with Sara's Food at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive the goods.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must give written notice to Sara's Food.

If you exercise your right to cancel after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Sara's Foods' premises at your own cost. The goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging, and with the order number enclosed. You must ensure that goods are not damaged while on your premises or in transit.

Once you have notified Sara's Food that you are cancelling the contract, Sara's Food will refund or recredit you within 30-days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit/debit card.

If you do not return the goods as directed, Sara's Food may charge you for the cost of recovering the goods.
